Success Stories & Other Stories of Under the Angel's Wings Rescue

WARNING: THIS PAGE CONTAINS GRAPHIC PHOTOS OF HORSES WHO HAVE BEEN ABUSED AND NEGLECTED!

This page is dedicated to the horses that we had the blessing of having in our lives to help make their lives better..... We love each and every horse that comes thru our gates here at UAWR and each of them are rehabbed in their very own way but,  here are a few of the "kids" who needed a lot of extra help and the great success stories they have become!

Intake Photo 3/5/2011

This picture was taken after a bath so Moses is wet and his coat does appear a bit darker. This was taken 5/5/2011 exactly 2 months later.

Moses was found abandoned on the streets of Bakersfield and left to die. He was found wandering thru an apartment complex when someone called Animal Control who came and picked him up. He remained at Kern County AC for several months with no one interested in providing a home for him. The Golden Carrot a wonderful equine retirement rescue was contacted and she was not able to take in Moses at the time as she did not have room. Casey from The Golden Carrot contacted us and we agreed to take in Moses.

First Pictures are the intake photos of Moses  taken on March 5, 2011.

A 9 year old OTTB gelding who was left to starve and then scheduled to be euthanized when our veterinarian stepped and asked his owner to call UAWR rather then euthanize him so he could have a chance at life.

Don't Miss out on reading the Prince and Duke Fairy Tale Story of how 2 full brothers were separated when their owner passed away and how Under the Angel's Wings Rescue and all of our wonderful donors helped to reunite them in a very heart warming story that took place over many months. Check out the story of Prince & Duke.  Prince & Duke
